Student 1:1 device programme
The modern classroom is driven by technology. Whether you’re a primary, secondary or multi-academy trust, you have the same responsibility to prepare students for the tech-driven world. It’s becoming increasingly vital to provide students with consistent access to personal learning devices. The challenge is delivering this in a way that doesn’t impact your budget, resources or infrastructure.
4th dimension helps you put the latest devices in the hands of your students at no risk or no cost to your school. Driven by parental payments and with no personal credit checks, there’s no need to dip into your budget. The devices are managed by you – meaning there’s no compromise to your infrastructure that you might get with a BYOD programme.
As part of the programme we will provide the following services:
Everything is underpinned by an operating lease.
- Ensuring that borrowing rates are low.
- There are no credit checks for parents meaning that anyone can join no matter what their financial standing.
- There is no financial outlay for the School/Academy. Everything is funded by Freedom Tech as the finance company.
- Value Added Service Offering
- Repair Service is provided to ensure that the device is repaired (or replaced if Beyond Economical Repair) in the event that it is damaged ensuring no hidden additional costs.
- Advanced Spares are provided in order for you to be able to replace any faulty / damaged device immediately, creating a zero downtime environment for the students and reducing administration for the IT Team. Calls are then logged online via our portal and we collect next day via DPD, repair/replace and return.
At this stage we have not included the spares as we have made an assumption that the Academy has a percentage of spares available to loan out. Spares can be added on request.
Payment Promise is supplied to protect the School/Academy against missed payments, return of devices and students leaving the School/Academy.

Fully Managed
- We manage everything from start to finish.
- Pre-launch we supply marketing flyers and brochures, staff for launch events and a bespoke online ordering portal with the products required.
- We assist parents every step of the way with regards to questions and assistance placing their online order using our in house support team.
- All orders are collated and processed via the lease agreement with all kit with kit arriving on site with serial numbers already recorded and products labelled ready for handout.
Reports and Meetings
- Self serve portal showing all data and information around direct debit collections, defaults, lease agreements, claims and general programme detail.
- On a termly basis we will attend a review meeting at the School/Academy to present the reports and discuss any issues.
Direct debit collections
- All direct debits are collected from the parents in advance of the first payment required on the lease. Ensuring that the programme is cost neutral.
- Any missed direct debit is resubmitted for 10 days later and this clears up over 86% of failed DD’s – all costs for the DD resubmission is covered by our Partner.
- If the resubmission is missed the direct debit is resubmitted for 10 days later and this clears up over 74% of failed DD’s.
- Any continued missed payments are managed by our in house team who chase missed payments, set up payment plans and bring parents back up to date.
- Our current rolling arrears is 0.96%.
- Our Partner are collecting over 156,000 Direct Debits per month on the Student 1:1 Programme at the end of 2024.
